Prosecutors charged a second man Monday in connection with dry-ice bombs that exploded last week at
Los Angeles International Airport, authorities said. Miguel Angel Iniguez, 41, of Inglewood was
charged with a felony count of possession of a destructive device near an airplane. He will be
arraigned Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Airport Branch courthouse near LAX. If convicted, Iniguez
could face up to six years in jail.

Los Angeles airport officials have changed their policy on how dry ice is discarded after a
baggage handler used an abandoned container of dry ice from a plane to fashion and explode
multiple bombs for his personal amusement. The airport will now require employees to return
dry ice - often used to keep food fresh - to the warehouse and not leave it out on the tarmac,
said Los Angeles Airport Police Chief Patrick Gannon. Airport officials plan to meet with law
enforcement authorities in the coming days to examine other potential security enhancements
at one of the nation's busiest airports.

An airport employee was arrested Tuesday in connection with dry ice explosions at Los Angeles
International Airport after police stepped up patrols and increased its checks on employees.
Bennett Dicarlo, a 28-year-old employee for the ground handling company Servisair, was booked
for possession of a destructive device near an aircraft. He was being held on $1 million bail.

Detectives late Monday were investigating how four dry ice bombs - two of which exploded -
were placed in restricted areas at Los Angeles International Airport. A dry ice bomb
exploded Monday about 8:30 p.m. in a section accessible only to employees near the gate
of the Tom Bradley International Terminal, law enforcement authorities said. Two similar
devices were found in the area. All three were bottles with dry ice inside, according to
LAX police. The devices appeared to be outside the terminal near planes, according to

The explosion of a dry-ice bomb at Los Angeles International Airport disrupted operations
Sunday night and delayed flights for several hours at a passenger terminal, authorities
reported. The explosion, which is created by filling a bottle with dry ice, occurred about
7 p.m. in a restroom at Terminal 2, which is home to several international and domestic
airlines. Officials said an airport employee heard an explosion in a men's room and went
to investigate. He discovered a 20-ounce plastic bottle that had contained the dry ice.
The blast did no damage, and no injuries were reported.

pounds of marijuana inside four pieces of checked luggage early Wednesday morning, authorities said. The
