POLICE MEMORIAL WEEK  

(Los Angeles, California – May 16, 2014) During Police Week, three Los Angeles Airport Police officers (Michael Dear, Sofia Gallegos and Jonray Selby) rode 305 miles on May 9-12 in the Police Unity Tour (PUT). The ride started from New Jersey ending in Washington D.C.
This annual Law Enforcement Memorial ride is to show support for all law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and to honor the memory of our own Officer Tommy E. Scott, killed in 2005.
On May 4-6, Honor Guard Officers (Cindy Colon, Alicia Hernandez, Elizabeth Sanchez, B.G. Davis, Mark Corral and Sgt. Joe Espitia) represented Airport Police at the California Peace Officer Memorial in Sacramento, California.
This event was in recognition of officers from the City of Los Angeles and officers throughout the State of California who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities.
